One of our goals at Namas Day is to offer a variety of styles and teachers. This spring at Namas Day we are fortunate to have internationally recognized Prana Flow teacher, Coral Brown.
If you’re not familiar with Prana Flow Yoga here’s a little background. This style of yoga was created by Shiva Rea and is an energetic vinyasa class merging movement, intention and breath. Through dynamic and conscious sequencing, students of all levels are encouraged to experience the progression of asanas from simple to complex as well as utilize the movements of breath (Prana) as a source of energetic alignment and support.
Our visiting Namas Day teacher, Coral Brown is a licensed mental health counselor who draws on her extensive experience in yoga, philosophy, and holistic counseling to provide fertile, open space for the process of healing and transformation. Coral is a senior Prana Vinyasa Flow teacher and has also trained in the Iyengar and Jivamukti methods. She leads teacher trainings as well as retreats and workshops worldwide.

As the cover model for Yoga Journal’s October 2015 issue, Coral said, “It’s a little surreal. It’s humbling and it’s an honor. It’s a side effect of all that I’ve worked for spreading the word of yoga.” The article in the magazine includes a practice based around the yamas and niyamas. She describes her teaching style as mind-body oriented, and influenced by her holistic psychotherapy practice, Turnagain Wellness. “It’s all about living your yoga,” said Brown.
